What do you mean that I can’t go with you in the car today… :(
Just a funny little snapshot from the other day.
This is what happens when I go and say, “Bed” at night… I know, everyone’s horribly out of focus, but I was like “… seriously, guys, my space, please!”
Yes, all of them are on the bed… well, except for Dusty who was politely waiting for me to clear the space so he can sleep on my pillow with me. Don’t ask. I think I sleep like a Tetris game sometimes heh.
(What’s really funny is that there are six dog beds in the bedroom, and it was a cool night, so everyone’s up there since the heater blows across the bed. Riley also has to dig up my covers and nest in them, sigh.)
Yesterday was bath day!
My yard looks like it snowed. So much shedding! ;)
(Simon’s all sparkly white though!)
I had a huge smile today when I walked over to Tumblr and saw all these little posts saying - “I’d love to have a dog like Simon.”
You know… I think every dog owner at least once in their lives gets their own Simon. That’s going to sound weird, but hear me out on this. I’ve had a lot of dogs, and loved a lot of dogs, and each is special in their own way.
Sometimes though, a dog just stands out from every dog you’ve ever owned and changes your life in a way you never thought of, but totally for the better. You can’t explain it, I suppose… but you just know it.
I don’t think I’ve shared this picture here, but… it’s an old one. It’s also the one I have framed and in my house. This is that day when I just took him to the beach and started snapping photos and we had a crowd going, watching us. When we were done, he hopped down, and smoozed his way through the group of them like a supermodel, and I was like, “… wow. He totally knows exactly what’s up.” He worked that crowd like a runway model and even now I laugh about it.
… and I adore this picture. He’s such a teenager here, but… man, what a cool dog.
So, I thank a whole lot of folks for making my day over here. <3 I’m delighted that you enjoy our Tumblr photos, and I’m glad I get to share them with you.
Simon sez, “Enough typing. Let’s go play ball!”
